Queenstown

a paradise for thrill-seekers and nature lovers

I was excited to explore this adventure capital of the world, even though I had only two nights to do so.

On the first night, I arrived in the late afternoon and quickly found parking. Eager to try some local food and drinks, I made my way down the steep hills of Queenstown and stumbled upon Cowboy, a lively country bar with pool tables and a mechanical bull. I couldn't resist the opportunity to test my skills on the bull, and it was a hilarious experience that left me in high spirits for the rest of the evening.

The next morning, I woke up early for my first excursion with HydroAttack Queenstown. This 20-minute ride on a semi-submersible shark was truly an extreme experience. We raced around the lake, jumping, diving, and rolling, all while taking in the stunning views. It was an exhilarating start to my day, and I felt like I had already accomplished so much.

What Hydro Attack will do to your face

After my ride, I headed up to Skyline Queenstown via the iconic gondola. The panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains were breathtaking. I took advantage of the luge ride, hurtling down the steep slopes and feeling the wind in my hair. It was an unforgettable experience that left me feeling invigorated.

As the day turned into evening, I found myself back at the lakefront, where I stumbled upon a talented street musician playing a beautiful piano piece, check out this link to my instagram to listen to it @The_Traveling_Mustache or check my YouTube at the top of the screen. The sunset was a sight to behold, and I felt incredibly lucky to be in such a beautiful place at that moment. It was a magical moment that I will never forget.

Sadly I did not have time to hike the Ben Lomond Trail like I originally planned, It offers spectacular views of the mountains and valleys. This challenging hike is filled with stunning scenery and fresh air and Iā€™d highly recommend anyone who is in town to do it rain or shine.

As my time in Queenstown came to an end, I felt grateful for the opportunity to experience such an incredible place, even if it was only for two nights. The beauty, adventure, and excitement of this town will stay with me forever. If you're looking for a destination that offers something truly special, Queenstown is the place to be, even if you only have a short time to explore.
